The Story: A modern invention. Made for the first time in 1983 when Dick Bradsell, barman at the Soho Brassiere in London was asked by a customer for a drink that would “wake her up”. The espresso machine was right beside Dick’s bar top and vodka was particularly popular in the 80s. He knew what to do.
The Serve:
Pour into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into your chilled glassware and garnish with roasted coffee beans.
