After 10 years of working in the bridal world, I've realised that most brides tend to fall into three camps.
There's the bride who has quietly been planning her wedding long before she even gets engaged. She already knows the venue she loves, the dress style she's drawn to, and probably has a Pinterest board full of ideas. For her, The Directory is a place to validate those instincts, to find the people who can bring her vision to life, and feel confident she's found the best in the business.
Then there's the bride who has never really thought about her wedding at all. The proposal happens, and it's wonderful, but suddenly she's wondering where to even begin. For her, The Directory is a starting point. A curated edit that removes the overwhelm and gives her a trusted place to begin exploring.
And finally, there's the bride who sits somewhere in the middle. She has a sense of the kind of wedding she might like, but when it comes to actually booking suppliers and bringing it all together, the process can feel quite overwhelming. For her, The Directory is a guide. Something to return to at each new stage of planning, with the reassurance that every recommendation has been thoughtfully considered.
Truthfully, I felt exactly the same when I got engaged.
Even after ten years working in bridal, suddenly being on the other side of it all made me realise just how many decisions there are to make. There are so many talented people, so many different styles, and so many recommendations coming from every direction. Knowing where to start and who to trust can feel like the hardest part.
Which is exactly why we created The Directory.
What You'll Find Inside
The Directory is organised by category, so you can head straight to whatever stage of planning you're currently in. Whether that's shortlisting venues, finding a photographer, or beginning the search for a planner.
Every listing includes everything you need to know at a glance: the style of work, the experience they bring, and why we've chosen to include them. You can also filter by location, whether you're planning something closer to home or dreaming of a destination wedding abroad.
Alongside the listings, we'll be sharing editorial planning features that answer the questions we know brides most often ask, from when to book your venue and how to build your wedding team, to what to look for when comparing suppliers. Think of it as a guide and an edit, all in one place.
What Makes It Different
There are many directories out there. What makes this one different is the level of care behind every recommendation.
The Directory isn't designed to be exhaustive. It's intentionally small. We're opening with a founding group of just 55 partners, each one hand-selected because their work reflects the creativity, professionalism and thoughtful approach we value most. These are the people we would genuinely suggest to friends and family planning their own weddings.
That size is deliberate. It means every name here has been considered, not just listed.
A Final Note
Planning a wedding is one of the most meaningful creative projects most of us will ever take on and it should feel that way. Our hope is that The Directory makes the experience feel simpler, more inspiring, and far more enjoyable.
This is just the beginning. We'll be growing The Directory carefully and intentionally over time, adding new partners, new categories, and new planning resources as we go.
