ELJAY Films is the work of Liam, a documentary wedding filmmaker with a love for good stories, great light and weddings that don’t take themselves too seriously.

After starting in commercial filmmaking, Liam learnt the craft of composition, lighting and storytelling. But he soon realised he wanted to make films with more life, personality and spontaneity. Then came weddings.

Unpredictable, emotional and occasionally chaotic, weddings are full of the moments that make them memorable. ELJAY Films captures those moments without turning your day into a film set. No awkward poses, staged scenes or endless retakes, just the real story as it unfolds.

Liam looks for the nerves before the ceremony, friends losing it during the speeches, the table getting progressively more chaotic, the changing evening light and all the tiny interactions you might not even realise happened.

His approach is relaxed and instinctive, knowing when to quietly disappear into the background and when to get right amongst it.

Every film is shaped by the people, place and energy of the celebration. The result is stylish without feeling styled, beautiful without being over-polished, and full of movement, humour, emotion and personality.
