Penicuik Estate

Founding Partner

Penicuik Estate is a place made for celebrations that feel both meaningful and unforgettable. Just ten miles from Edinburgh, it offers a true sense of escape, where weddings unfold across a landscape of ancient woodland, open views, and beautifully considered spaces.

Our approach is centred on time, space, and atmosphere, allowing celebrations to unfold naturally over a weekend, surrounded by the people who matter most. Each wedding is shaped by its setting, creating a sense of ease and connection that feels both relaxed and deeply personal.

At the heart of the estate is Penicuik House. With sixteen bedrooms and elegant, light-filled rooms, it brings everyone together under one roof, while the gardens and courtyard create a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor moments.

For larger gatherings, The Orangery sits within the Sunken Garden, a contemporary, light-filled space that hosts up to 150 guests for dinner and dancing, or 200 for dining. By day it feels bright and open; by night, it glows with candlelight and celebration.

A short walk away, the High Pond offers a more secluded setting for waterside ceremonies and marquee receptions, accommodating up to 250 guests. Surrounded by woodland and hills, it’s a place of soft light, still water, and truly atmospheric celebrations.

What sets Penicuik Estate apart is its rare balance of heritage and flexibility, an enduring landscape where each wedding can be shaped in a way that feels entirely its own.
