Nobody names the first dance, or the speeches, or the cake. The answers below all point somewhere quieter, and somewhere earlier or later than the moment everyone else is watching. This is a living feature. Every time a new expert joins us, their answer gets added below.
Lydia Kenny, Cliveden House: "The first look between father and daughter is my favourite moment without a doubt. I always try to take the girls out of the room just to give dad and daughter their little moment before the ceremony."
Sam Stirrat, Blackacre: "There is a really special moment right when two people realise they are married. It might be eye contact, or a little smile between them, that instant they suddenly think, we are together as one now."
Holly Congdon, Lettice Events: "The thing I love most is that first look into the tent when the tables are set, the linen is steamed, the music is on, and everything is perfect, just before anyone else comes in. It is a quiet moment that belongs only to the couple, and not many people take that time away during the day."
Alex Le Roux, ALR Music: "The couple's entrance to the reception. It is the first time you are announced as a married couple, and it barely matters what song plays. People do not expect how much impact that one moment has."
Charlotte, Albion Parties: "The moment just before the Bride walks in. The room is full, the music is playing, and nobody quite knows what is about to happen. The collective anticipation lasts perhaps thirty seconds. I would not miss it for the world."

Look at your loved ones having the time of their lives, and just capture the real memory. Those are moments you do not get back, so take them in, in real time."
Chloe & Chris, Sail & Peg: "The few quiet moments before guests enter the tent. The candles are lit, the tables are dressed and everything is perfectly still. There is a sense of anticipation in the air that lasts only a minute or two before the celebration begins, and it is always magical perfection."
Emily King, In Awe Weddings & Events: "That first party song straight after the first dance that fills the dance floor. It is a song I always get my couples to specifically request. It sets the tone for the whole rest of the evening, it is the explosion of joy, and any lingering formality disappears in an instant. As a planner, that is when I also let out my sigh of relief."
